《The Reader[朗读者]》Kate Winslet

因为如此的感受，觉得《The Reader》成为黑马，没有什么问题。虽然《The Reader》里Kate Winslet的结局和她在《Revolutionary Road》里一样都是死亡，但被呈现的故事、剧情和情感，前者远超过后者。如上段所言，《The Reader》里面，观众不再是旁观者，都已不自觉间把情感放在单纯热切的Hanna Schmitz身上。爱着这个女人，便痛恨着寡情、只为“赎罪”的自私的Michael Berg。
讨厌Michael Berg这个角色，但还是要承认Ralph Fiennes—-迷人的英国绅士—-除了发线越来越高，有秃顶之势外，还是和《In Bruges》里的杀手头目Harry Waters一样帅气。
Kate Winslet，女神？她裸露身体的次数和部位都实在太多了。《Titanic》、《Little Children》，直到本片里又一次三点全露。没有那么圣洁，因为她的私密好像不只对你一个人而开放。也没有那么情欲，是在电影里表演，而不是日本的“动作片”里卖肉。可以理解《The Reader》里少年Michael和Hanna的肉欲戏如此之多。越是描写贪欢的少年，也越能说明此事在后来感到羞耻的少年心中的分量。其实也有不用裸露身体的办法，去解决想要言语之意的问题。更多的画面和更灵巧的剪辑，如下图中和《The Visitor》一样的空间禁锢感：
33岁，6次提名，除了神迹一样存在的Meryl Streep，其它例如Audrey Hepburn[奥黛丽·赫本], Elizabeth Taylor[伊丽莎白·泰勒], Susan Sarandon[苏珊·萨兰登], Glenn Close[格伦·克洛斯], and Cate Blanchett[凯特·布兰切特]都只有获得5次提名。即便是Meryl Streep，同样33岁的时候，Kate有了6次提名，Meryl只有4次（两次美梦成真）。当学院评委拒绝接受Kate以《Revolutionary Road》报女主角，《The Reader》报女配角，而把《Revolutioanary》踢出去，扶正《The Reader》的女主角时，最佳女主角的小金人应该是在向Kate挥手。

She can do almost anything, be almost anyone, as long as the code word is danger. A ticket to a Kate Winslet movie pays for a trip into uncharted lands and toxic emotions. She doesn’t play weak; she’s not in it for the fun. She looks over the edge, leaps in and takes you down with her.
Hanna Schmitz,跨越四十年的一个角色，也是可以掌控异性的角色（年轻时的Michael Berg），非常适合Kate。她的银幕形象，通常具有缠绕着无休止的热情与渴望，希望从现状中跳出。眼前远不够，让我们改变一下，改变一下—-直至人鬼殊途。《The Reader》里Hanna便是如此，她的悲苦、“无知”和身体的诱惑，通过Kate的精确的表演与绝望的情绪，打动人心。
“Do I want it? You bet your fucking ass I do! I think that people assume that I don’t care or don’t want it or don’t need it or something. It’s hard to be there five times, and I’m only human, you know? But I don’t go home and cry, because we’re all grown-ups here.”和茂伯“我的心不是铁打的，也是会伤心哩”一样的发言。小小提醒下Kate Winslet，Meryl Streep距离上次得奖已经有10次提名了。
